Other Christmas activities

During December Effingham will be ‘visited’ by some Christmas Angels. Why not go and see them all? Click here to download our map. If you follow the trail in the correct order and use a mobile phone to scan the QR codes, you will hear episodes of the Christmas Story.

To share the joy of the Christmas season, we are encouraging everyone to display a star (either shop-bought or homemade) in their front window. Let’s make Effingham and Little Bookham shine this Christmas!

Our posada normally travels from home to home during December to symbolise the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem. This year they make the journey on our Facebook page. Can you tell where they are each day?

Everyone is invited to write a prayer or a thought on a star to decorate our community Christmas tree. Stars available from Loolabell’s and Parkers.

On Christmas Eve at 6pm you are invited to stand on your doorstep and sing ‘Silent Night’ and ‘O, Come All Ye Faithful’ with your neighbours. CLICK HERE for the words.
