CHATTERBOX

For pre-school children & carers

Chatterbox is a regular ‘gathering’ and worship session for pre-school children and their carers, (school-aged siblings are also welcome when they can come).

Depending on the time of year we meet in either St Lawrence, Effingham or All Saints, Little Bookham  on Tuesday mornings from 10.30am to 12 noon. Please contact Reverend Mandy: rev.mandymacvean@gmail.com if you plan to come for the first time in order to find out which church we will be at.  If you would like to come again we will join you to the Chatterbox Whatsapp group which gives regularly updates of the location each week.

It’s a great opportunity to get to know others with children and to introduce children to the Christian faith in an informal child-friendly atmosphere.  There are toys for the children to play with.

After refreshments are served, our service begins with the telling of the Bible story. We sing some lively songs accompanied by the guitar and the children are encouraged to play percussion instruments.

We finish the service with a short sung prayer and a blessing for each child present. There is then the opportunity for the older children to ring the church bell.
Many parents would like their children to learn about Jesus Christ and also to hear the stories from the Bible, but regular Sunday morning worship is not always convenient. Our Chatterbox congregation is considered a vital part of our wider church family and its members, both great and small, are much valued.
